There is a new global leader for the production of turbocharger ball bearings. It has shifted from the location in Plymouth (at Barden Corp) to The Schaeffer UK automotive plant in Llanelli, South Wales. The new plant is said to be more efficient, as well as being more suited for high volume, high speed and lower cost production of the product. There has been a recent increase in customer demand, and a shifting global market climate, requiring an increase in turbocharger ball bearing production.
