SKF continues its legacy as being the leading bearing and manufacturing company
SKF is a leading seal and bearing Manufacturing Company founded in Gothenburg, Sweden in 1907. SKF This Company is one of the best out there. They are always improving and are always open for new ways to make the company more modernized with the fast development of different technologies. In the past 18 months, they have invested a lot of money. In their last investment, they invested 17 million to be able to modernize their cylindrical roller bearing. This main investment was a big step for this company, this new investment will replace the old production channels and they will be replaced by an automated, world class technologies. It will also implement the most recent technologies within assembly, packaging and machining.
The president of the company Luc Graux said:
“We are very excited to be ramping up our investments in developing world-class manufacturing within SKF. The automated assembly and zero reset-time of the channel will greatly improve our flexibility and lead-times for medium- and small-size lots of standard CRB products. Our ambition is to launch pilot projects such as these across all of our main product lines, before replicating them across other manufacturing sites.”
And his colleague mentioned
“Together with our projects in Gothenburg and Flowery Branch, we have now announced almost SEK 500 million of investments in upgrading and digitalizing our factories during the last 18 months. Ensuring we develop flexible and modern manufacturing processes is essential in supporting SKF’s growth and profitability ambitions.”
They are both excited for their fast-growing company and are, even though they are spending a lot of money, they are expected to gain a lot more and be an ongoing successful company. They are a great example of a company that worked hand in hand with aircraft bearing distributor.
