New purchasing agreement has been released with Conair for six new Q400 aircrafts from Bombardier Specialized Aircraft division. Conair is also one of the largest providers of aerial fight fighting aircrafts around the globe. With the latest purchase of the six Q400, it reissues the fact that Conair continuous to be the world largest owner of privately owned fixed-wing air tankers.
The entire project has an estimated price to be worth over $206 million US. Conair’s main priority for the purchase of this six-aircraft is to modify them with their proprietary Retardant Delivery System. The newly implemented system will allow for a more comfortable experience despite the newly implemented traits along with modifications in the cargo space, combi and medivac have been enhanced as well.This innovative retardant system is one of its kind with its agility to be integrated and removed very efficiently in times of emergency without the remainder of the newly composed cabin space to be jeopardized.
Conair's Chairman & CEO, Barry Marsden explains the efficiency of the Q400 aircraft by stating,” The Q400 Multirole’s versatility delivers optimal value by accommodating year-round service in passenger, cargo, combi transport, medivac, emergency response, surveillance and patrol without compromising state-of-the-art air tanker capabilities.”The Q400 Multirole is a threat to its kind in the industry by being able to perform short takeoffs, fly at speeds of 667 km/hr and can maneuvers its self out of “unprepared strips.”
