Not only does this configuration feature the 100 Gbe but have made a 400 Gbps configuration as well. These two options have increased the distances that they are able to perform efficiently at such as distances of 500 meters, that the interface is able to reach using a IEEE 802.3 Ethernet.
The 100G Lambda MSA has developed optical specifications for 100 GbE with reaches of 2 and 10 kilometers and for 400 GbE with a reach of 2 kilometers over duplex single-mode fiber.
