Carlisle, which is a division of Carlisle Companies, recently introduced an updated CoreHC interconnection solution along with a new Card Edge Connectors contact system that will be teamed with its integrated line of high performing microwave cables and fast speed digital connectors. This was for Test and Measurement applications at the DesignCon 2018 Expo that recently took place at the beginning of this month in Santa Clara.
TE Connectivity (TE) and Credo had teamed up to demonstrate the future of networking technologies at DesignCon 2018. The companies held demonstrations of 112Gbps over an IO channel and over a backplane channel. Unlike many other attendees of the convention, who focused on discussion and theory, TE and Credo demonstrated performance on actual hardware.
100 G Lambda Group is a worldwide group composed of multiple interconnection companies wishing to enhance their interoperability for optical transceivers. The 100 Lambda MSA is actively looking for members and already has a significant number of members that is a part of their group already. Companies such as:
TE Connectivity (TE) is a $12 billion global leader in connectivity and sensors. It was created to meet the requirements of high density, signal, and power applications. It range from signal level circuitry to power circuit connectivity. The D-3000 FMLB 5.08mm is the new incorporation to the TE Connectivity's Dynamic Series of First Mate Last Break (FMLB) connectors. FMLB Dynamic Series connectors are invented for requests where there are specific grounding demands. TE already offers FMLB connectors with pitches of 2.50 mm (D-2000 type), 6.35 mm (D-4000), 10.16 mm (D-5000) and 16.00 mm (D-7000).
Hirose has just announced the launch of their new high-current power supply connector which promises to simplify installation with a snap-lock mechanism to ensure a secure and safe connection. The connector is available in a DIN rail and panel mount version and compliments the snap-lock EM35M Series power connector by eliminating screw loosening and reduces wire procedures in buss bar applications. The EM35M Series power connectors are designed for manufacturing power control boxes, fuel batteries, generators and can support up to 50 Amps with an AWG #8 cable.
A major launch has risen in the technology world, as ODU steps up in bringing rapid manufacturing for ODU-AMC connector solutions. ODU is an international supplier for connection systems and is situated in multiple locations worldwide. They offer connectors for applications such as signal, data and media, and power transmissions. They can also provide custom connectors to fit into most designs which allows them to be a very versatile corporation. Within the US market, ODU will be introducing its cable assembly rapid manufacturing for its ODU AMC connector solutions portfolio.
On March 21st 2017, there was an article posted Electronic Specifier by Lanna Cooper which talks about how Harting will have many different types of standard inserts in the connectorized cable assemblies that they provide. These connectorized cable assemblies are a major part in the power distribution infrastructure. This is done so by Uninterrupted Power Suppler and the Power Distribution Units. Here is what Howard Forryan, the Product Market Specialist, had to say about the Harting.
Flexstrip jumpers can be used in nearly any device that uses a printed circuit board (PCB). They are offered as electrical connectors in a variety of styles depending on application and operating conditions. All the connectors are flat, and designed to withstand thousands of flex cycles. The jumpers are suitable for all PCB’s, easily installed without crimping or cutting. Assembly is simple by soldering the pcb connector ribbons at their respective terminals. This has an advantage over standard point to point wiring due to the lack of stress points in the electrical connection. Flexstrip jumpers will absorb energy and bounce or vibrate rather than cracking.
Connections between departments is a big thing we focus on here at ASAP Semi because that is the best way to keep things going well. As well as connections with suppliers to know we are getting good working, long lasting parts. We are always constantly trying to find new ways to connect ourselves to others to make things faster.
Molex has recently introduced a range of Glow-Wire compliant connectors that delivers a higher power efficiency compared to its competing products in the market.Molex has been in the connectors manufacturing industry for 15 years and supplies a couple of the largest home appliances original equipment manufacturers in the world.
