On March 21^st 2017, there was an article posted Electronic Specifier by Lanna Cooper which talks about how Harting will have many different types of standard inserts in the connectorized cable assemblies that they provide. These connectorized cable assemblies are a major part in the power distribution infrastructure. This is done so by Uninterrupted Power Suppler and the Power Distribution Units.Here is what Howard Forryan, the Product Market Specialist, had to say about the Harting.

Boca Bearing Company has been reducing rolling resistance and conserving energy since 1987 with replacement and upgraded bearings.  Radio Control applications has a new ceramic hybrid radial bearing line.  When RC racing you want a bearing that is ideal for the rough wear and tear you will undergo.  Ball bearings should always be your first upgrade to your RC racer.  This will reduce friction for less rolling resistance, and that in turn will give you higher speeds and longer running times.  Ball bearings should hardly require maintenance and lost a longer than stock bushings.

Nachi-Fujikoshi has developed many high-operational bearings, such as ball screws for support bearings, TAF series, and vastly unique thin walled bearings and circular bearings in the industrial machines field. The TAF-X series now has been created by Nachi-Fujikoshi. These will have advanced load capacity in response to the industrial machines with complex levels of performance. Predominantly bearings for injection mold machines, the need for higher levels of performance in bearings is apparent. Increased speed and higher capacity are much needed along with Long life ball screws are in demand for ball screws in support of bearings.

Flexstrip jumpers can be used in nearly any device that uses a printed circuit board (PCB). They are offered as electrical connectors in a variety of styles depending on application and operating conditions. All the connectors are flat, and designed to withstand thousands of flex cycles. The jumpers are suitable for all PCB’s, easily installed without crimping or cutting. Assembly is simple by soldering the pcb connector ribbons at their respective terminals. This has an advantage over standard point to point wiring due to the lack of stress points in the electrical connection. Flexstrip jumpers will absorb energy and bounce or vibrate rather than cracking.

On February 8, 2017, Mick Elliott wrote an article for Electronic Specifier talking about the new MUSBR series USB-C connector from Amphenol. This USB-C connector works across many different platforms such as smartphones, laptops, PCs, and tablets. Additionally, the USB-C connector is compatible with power packs, chargers, and industrial machinery.

Gap and Overlap Type Wave Springs are used in a wide range of applications for their reliability and precision. Smalley has released two sets of Wave Springs that, when used together, create expansion within a cavity. Unlike die-stamped wave washers that often cause binding or hang-up, these two wave springs are engineered for greater efficiency.

When it comes to the aerospace industry, finances play a significant role since most parts and components are expensive and must be certified. Many companies struggle to move forward with projects due to limited funding. Recently, the government of Canada provided a $283 million loan to Bombardier, which they will use for the 7000-business jet and C series aircraft programs. This funding will be allocated towards research and development for the new Bombardier Global 7000 business jet, scheduled for release within four years. It will also support marketing activities for their aircraft program and create several middle-class jobs, marking the beginning of a new generation of aircraft.
